"Mr. George H. Kelley, of Carthage was buried today Friday. He was formerly a resident of this county. While living in a farm in this vicinity Mr. Kelley drank from a spring on the premises, and it is thought that he swallowed a lizard, about five years ago, and has carried it in his stomach ever since. He had been in poor health for some time and a week ago, at Watertown, where he had gone for for medical treatment, under the operation of medicine given him threw up a lizard four inches long. An escort of the Knights Templer accompanied the remains to the grave."
